Professionally I am a documentary Cinematographer, and recently turned Director, based in rural Southern Arizona, near Tucson. I’m drawn to stories that reveal the deep connections between people, place, and beliefs. My work is rooted in sustainability and humanitarian issues, but beyond that, I seek to craft nuanced, textured narratives that bridge divides and foster empathy. Whether through storytelling or cinematography, my focus is always on capturing something alive—something emotionally immersive to people.

I believe my job is to offer a perspective—to show beauty in something others haven’t seen beauty in before, perhaps even in what they oppose. In doing so, I aim to create understanding between people; nuance. That to me is success, no matter the kind of story.

Raised in the rugged grasslands of the desert [b. 2000], I developed an affinity for the outdoors along with a keen curiosity for urban tales—especially those hidden in plain sight. From the jungles of Guatemala to the streets of Juárez, Mexico, I’ve slept in the Amazon, hiked five thousand feet in elevation, and filmed whatever challenges my producers have set for me as a DP. I’d say my visual style is almost calligraphic—fluid yet orderly. My compositions are defined by striking shapes and clean, deliberate outlines, while the camera moves with an impressionistic quality—rough but purposeful, reminiscent of carefully handwritten strokes. I maintain a strong preference for controlled lighting, but always in service of naturalism.

Now shifting more toward directorial work, I am currently directing three independent documentary projects alongside my freelance work as a documentary DP and narrative/commercial gaffer. Drawn to frontiers, I seek projects that thrive on calculated risks, question established approaches, and demand a willingness to embrace the unexpected in pursuit of the truly impactful stories.
